About the Author Aaliyah (Monét) Lewis is a 20 year old from Southfield, Michigan. They are a Creative Writing major in Poetry. She found her spark for writing when she was just 13 years old. Their work tends to delve into the uncanny world and habits we let fossilize but tend to be afraid to face. Monét enjoys starting conversations in their pieces so that they invite others to go within and create. She’s big on engaging others and interacting with others. Monét believes poetry is a fashion statement, a representation of culture, spirituality and creativity. Monét also is a photographer, podcaster and an artist. About the Artist Ruby Bean is an Illustrator, Muralist, and Comic Artist raised in Austin TX residing in Chicago IL. Ruby Bean is currently studying Illustration at Columbia College Chicago for a BFA.
