When a mere mortal marries a vampire, compromise is key. Just because one's spouse must feed on fresh blood to sustain immortality, that doesn't mean having to sacrifice civility and good taste. This spin on the classic American ice cream sundae not only provides the plasmic sustenance every vampire requires, it's a tasty treat decadent enough to thrill even the most discerning gastronome! In our mixed-marriage household, we enjoy a Bloody Sundae each and every Sunday! Ingredients: ½ gal. Jeni's Darkest Chocolate Ice Cream 1 7.56 oz. Hershey's Special Dark Chocolate Bar (frozen) 1 10 oz. Herrelle's Gourmet Chocolate Fudge Sauce 1 10 oz. Mitica Roasted and Caramelized Black Walnuts 1 10 oz. Filthy Black Armarena Premium Black Cherries 1 pint freshly tapped human blood (type irrelevant) Prep Time: 15 minutes (after blood is drawn). Servings: Two (one bloody, one virgin). Directions: Step 1 Place two crystal desert dishes in the blast-freezer to chill. Step 2 Pour chocolate fudge sauce into double boiler and heat until creamy. Step 3 Pour fresh blood into ceramic ramekin and heat to body temperature. Step 4 Place three large scoops of dark chocolate ice cream into each desert dish. Step 5 Distribute equal amounts black cherries and black walnuts on top. Step 6 Splinter dark chocolate bar by slapping brusquely on counter-top, then distribute chocolate bits according to taste. Step 7 Ooze a decadent amount of hot fudge sauce over the entire concoction. Step 8 Lastly (the piece de resistance), dowse liberally with fresh, warm blood! Step 9 Serve immediately! The real beauty of this most decadently delicious ice cream treat is that it gives the mortal spouse an opportunity to take a hands-on, proactive role in sustaining his or her spouse's immortality by acting as donor of fresh-squeezed blood—thus eliminating the possibility of contacting tainted blood, the pesky business of dealing with bloody, mutilated bodies, or risking unwanted attention from authorities. And have no fear—virtually anyone can learn to self-let blood using a handy blood collection kit, readily available online! And once you've experienced this extraordinary dish for yourself (even minus the blood), you'll find the synchronicity of flavors a sensual sensation you might be willing to actually die for!
